Roland Anthony Allen, 83, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Born on September 27, 1942, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Roland lived a life defined by service, dedication, and deep Texas roots.
Roland proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with honors. Following his military service, he relocated to San Angelo, Texas, in 1982 – a city that would become his true home for nearly four decades. There he built a distinguished career in automotive sales and later in real estate, serving with dedication for over 20 years and honored to serve as President of the San Angelo Association of Realtors. In 2019, Roland moved to Norman, Oklahoma, to be closer to his family.
Though originally from New England, Roland embraced the Texas lifestyle wholeheartedly – cowboy boots and blazers were his signature. A gifted craftsman, he built intricate miniature chuck wagons entirely by hand, a hobby that reflected his patience, precision, and deep appreciation of western tradition.
Roland is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda Allen; his children, Linda Glover (Jimmy), Lorrie Stanley (Joey), and Roland Allen (Ginger); his sister, Janet Garner; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Joanna, and Justin; and several great-grandchildren.
