Sharon (Renegar) Smith

Sharon Kay (Renegar) Smith,81, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sharon was born July 24, 1942 in Shawnee, OK to Wilburn and Mae Renegar.

She graduated from Shawnee High School and on November 30, 1963 married the love of her life Don Smith.   

Sharon worked at Bell Telephone Company and Tinker Air Force Base prior to becoming a full-time stay at home mom of her two sons Donald and Darrin Smith.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s cattle shows, dance/cheer competitions, soccer, softball and basketball games throughout the years. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Don Smith and son Donald Smith.

Sharon is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Darrin & Shannon Smith and their children, Madelynne Mae Smith, Coleman and Keaton Van Sickle; a granddaughter, Amber Haysmer and her husband Andrew, and their children, Kelsey Kay, Lilly Ann, Katie Don and Shelby Mae.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 and continue 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024. Family Gathering will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Justin Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
